    1. Hi Nancy,

Glad you found the website and thank you for your questions. Blue Spoon is pretty new and the response has been amazing. I currently have two locations that I am teaching from but I can do private parties/lessons in a persons home too. On the Classes tab I have listed the classes scheduled to date. As more are scheduled I will be updating the list.
I have been cooking professionally for 12 years. I had a restaurant for 4 that I closed in 2011. My specialty is northern Italian but I am trained in French methods and have tried to cook just about everything with close to perfect success! I love history and the history of food is something I gravitate to. Food so often has a story that goes with it. I like to discover it and then share my discovery to whoever will listen and taste.

Fees are based on what the menu and length of the class. I have a few partners in crime that help with wine pairings for the dinners. They are always a treat. Please check back often for updates to my class schedule.

    1. Hi Michelle,

I will be doing a mini cooking camp between Christmas and New Years for kids. I hope your son is available! I will be posting information about it soon. I would like to add you to our email list so you can get information monthly on what is happening at Blue Spoon.

    1. Hi Danny,

Thank you for writing! I will be starting a 6 week course in January on nutrition and how to shop for healthy food on a budget. I would love for you to join us! If it is ok with you I will add you to the email list and you will get monthly updates on what we are doing here at Blue Spoon.

  2. Hi chef. My daughter loves to cook and I know she would love, love, love to do a cooking class. Will you please add me to your email list? Thank you so much!

  3. Hi Tracy!
It’s Kimberly Edwards. Merry Christmas and happy holidays. I am very interested in the 6 week nutrition class and shopping on a budget for myself and my daughter, Tate. Please send us details and cost and how to register. We look forward to seeing you.

  4. I saw on your schedule page that you have a Tuesday class. What is offered then? Also how much is it for you to come to my home?

    1. Hi Nickie,

Sorry this took so long to get back to you. I would like to add you to the monthly newsletter emails. In it you will find the list of classes being offered in the following month with price information etc. To come to your home it is usually about $500.00 plus the cost of food. If this is something you would like to do please let me know and I will be happy to set something up!

      Thanks for your message

  5. Hi Chef Tracy,

My 9 year old daughter loves to cook! Are you offering any summer cooking camps/classes for kids? I know there is a high demand. The Greensboro Children’s Museum has already filled up every cooking camp they have scheduled for this summer.

    Thank you,

    1. Hi Stephanie,

So sorry I did not see this before now! I did not do a camp this past summer for kids under 11 however – I am planning to do some camps on teacher workdays coming up this school year. If you would like to add your name to the monthly newsletter you will get updates on what Blue Spoon is doing each month. Thanks for contacting us!

  6. Dear Chef Tracy, My friend and I have a common grandson, age 8, whom, for Christmas, we gave the gift of a new experience each month. For example, he has now tried symphony and instruments, theatre and horseback riding. We would now like to introduce him to cooking. He has tried cooking with his mother and grandmother (the other one) but nothing on his own. We would like him to learn a simple recipe (maybe as simple as pancakes or something else quick) that could become his signature dish that he would enjoy making for his family. Could you provide such instruction? Carol Cohen

    1. Hi Carol,

I do not offer classes for kids as young as 8 but what a wonderful idea! Next year when he is 9 I would love to have him join us for one of our camps!

      Thanks for inquiring

  7. I want to sign up for a healthy cooking class for my 6 yr old son and I to participate in, are there any classes as such?

    1. Hi Millicent,

I do not have classes for kids as young as 6. I usually like to start at about 9 years old. If you would like to get an update on classes please join our mailing list for a monthly newsletter with all the classes offered for the month.

    1. Hi Alice,

I like to start at 9 years old at the earliest. When they are smaller I need a whole different set of furniture. Let me know if you are interested!

  8. I am really enjoying watching Chopped and would really like to learn how to cook alot of dishes I have never tried before. I am purchasing a Wusthof Block Knife Set and a Boose Chopping Board. I am an amateur although I have a real passion to cook and learn different ways to chop, dice ,juliane and different methods using different knives. I am also interested in learning how to buy nutritional foods for the best price. Let me know if you can help. Thank you Cooking Right

    1. Hi Glenda,

I have been away from the website for a while and just checked in. If you would like to add your name to my monthly email list I can send you a calendar each month on upcoming classes. Thanks for inquiring!

    1. Hi Andra,

I start at around 9 years old. I have found that kids younger than that need shorter tables, different knives etc. It’s hard to have two sets of everything. I can do special classes in your home if you would like and we can talk about what that would look like.

      Thanks for inquiring!
